Our Untethered Life Soon Begins…

I haven’t had a lot of time to post or really do anything but get our house ready for sale, pack, purge and figure out what’s going with us. Once we get on the road I’ll endeavor to get the posts rolling more frequently. I’m sure we’ll have plenty to talk about!

Meanwhile:

  • The LMTV has been painted
  • Brush bar / roof rack to be mounted
  • Dakar-style lights to be mounted on brush bar
  • Mount winches – yes plural – a pair of hydraulic winches nestled under the front bumper

We head to Denver to pick up the truck soon! I’ll provide more updates once all the dust settles. Check my Instagram feed @blissordie for more frequent updates.

  1. OK just caught on the old Blogs because It’s been so long since I’ve been on your site. You HAVE built the Bliss camper I’m looking at building myself through Bliss! (i am meeting them at the OE in AZ to talk about designs) Apologies on not having re-read that before that last comment. The trailer is an interesting addition-although I understand the toy hauling/island of space for the family. Be interested to see how well the LMTV it pulls all of that?

    1. Greetings – Looking forward to meeting you at the Overland Expo. Our maiden voyage is soon and I’ll have more info on pulling the trailer.

  2. Can’t wait for you to get your rig. What is the reason for dual front winches? Always looking to learn more. Can’t wait to me you at Overland West.

    1. Hey Billy – Couch recommended hydraulic and to get the right power in a single winch made it too large in size so went with two smaller winches with combine capacity of 35k lbs. Definitely need to meet up at the Expo!
